Medical Trend Box - 1999 is probably not going to be a good year for medical inflation. Here we will post the average increase of PPO’s and HMO’s that we are seeing in our area. 

There is no single success formula to buying health insurance. One of the keys to obtaining a good health insurance policy is narrowing your search to carriers that offer the types of coverage that you are looking for. Being an educated consumer will help you Buy what you want, not what is sold to you as “today's hot product”. 

Don’t expect to see alot of fluff about the carriers we do represent.  Frankly, we have something negative to say about all of them. We want you to know the worst part of each carrier so there are no Negative surprises later on.  We do believe that each of the carriers we represent offers a good, honest value.

There is some common belief that the health reform laws restricts an insurance companies ability to decline, rate up or exclude medical conditions. This is not true.  A good agent will try and save you the inconvenience and loss of time of applying for a plan that you can’t get or don’t want.   See our Insurance 101 section for more info on health reform and preexisting conditions.
